Roland Edmundton Newton Obituary (2000 - 2022)

NEWTON, Roland Edmundton -age 22 of Dayton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday evening, August 09, 2022.Roland was born in Dayton, Ohio to Oliver Winston Newton and Ericka Rhae Newton-Foudray (nee O'Bryan). Roland grew up in Oakwood, Ohio and is a 2018 graduate of Oakwood High School. Growing up as the eldest, Roland was adored by all his younger siblings. He had an infectious smile, laugh and uncanny sense of humor throughout his late teens and early adulthood. Roland enjoyed doing magic tricks, playing guitar, playing video games, and had an eclectic music interest. Roland had an extensive and growing record collection. Recently, he enjoyed modifications, fixing things and took pride in his technical abilities. He worked as a chemical technician/facilities manager at Applied Sciences Inc. since 2018. He was a valued member of the Applied Sciences Team and formed many great friendships with coworkers over the years. Roland is survived by mother: Ericka Newton-Foudray (FL) father: Oliver Newton and stepmother Amanda Newton (OH); siblings Olivia Newton (OH) , Miles Newton (FL), Alice Foudray (FL), Kai Foudray (FL), Sunny Foudray (FL). Step siblings: Rheanon and Addisen Foudray (OH) and Charlie Brewer (OH). Great grandparents: Emil and Jean Kmetec (OH), Grandmother: Janet Franklin (OH), Uncles: Krishna and Ramachandran "Rama" Rengan (CA). Great aunt Laura O'Bryan (OH), beloved cats: Jabberwocky and Creature. And many other aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Preceded in death by Grandmother Janine O'Bryan (OH), grandfather Michael Norman O'Bryan (OH) great grand father: Richard Arthur Franklin (OH) and grandfather: Charles James Newton (OH) and beloved family dog: Pupcake "Huffy" Newton.
