Leon F Price Obituary (1920 - 2011)

Price, Leon F. age 91 of Oakwood, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011. Leon was born May 6, 1920 in Findlay, OH. graduated from Liberty HS in 1938, attended Ohio State University & Bowling Green. He entered the Air Corps in 1942, graduated from Flying School in 1943 and flew B24 & B17 bombers out of England. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with Clusters & flew in two major battles and was discharged in 1945. Leon was a member of the Findlay Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Toledo and Antioch Shrine Greeters Unit and past president of the Antioch Seniors & ROJ. He also volunteered for 15 years at MVH, drove a hospital van for the Shrine Hospitals. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church (3315 Martel Dr. Dayton) where services will be held on Wednesday June 29, 2011 at 1 PM. Burial to follow at the Dayton National Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred & Carrie Price and a son David. Leon is survived by his loving wife of 58 years LouAnn (Ann) and his daughter Catherine (Cathy).
