Leanna L. Philpot Obituary (1955 - 2022)

Leanna L. Philpot, age 66, passed away at Hospice of Dayton after a long illness, Wednesday morning, July 26th, 2022.She was born to Charles H. and Doris J. Pickett (nee Miller) on Sunday, December 4, 1955.Leanna graduated from National Trail in 1974 and was an avid seamstress. She was known to purchase fabric for an outfit and have the outfit completely made in a couple of hours, ready to be worn later that day or evening. She held many jobs before becoming too ill to work. She was an Emergency Medical Technician for what is now known as the Northwest Fire and Ambulance District. She also worked at the House of Fabrics, INA, New Paris Carryout and served as the New Paris Village Clerk. Leanna was preceded in death by her daughter Amanda E. Philpot, sister Mary K. (Pickett) Moore, nephew Allan D. Moore Jr., both parents and grandparents.Graveside services will be held at the family's convenience at a later date.In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Northwest Fire and Ambulance District.
