Clayton Lee Nichols Obituary (1948 - 2022)

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our beloved father, Clayton Lee Nichols. He passed away peacefully of natural causes at the age of 74 on November 14, 2022. He was born in Winamac, Indiana on June 21, 1948 to Homer and Margaret Nichols. He married Marjorie Beth Helstern in 1971 and fathered 4 children. Their first child, BethAnn Nichols, was killed in a Super Tornado outbreak in Rochester, Indiana in 1974 at 2 years old. After working for Burns Construction in Macy, Indiana, Clayton established a well known residential contracting business in Muncie, Indiana. When he wasn't working he could often be found at a campground sitting by a campfire or playing games. In his retired years our dad enjoyed watching old westerns and sitting on the front porch. He loved to give people a hard time and was always cracking jokes. He leaves behind his 3 youngest children; Joy, Timothy, and Carrie, as well as grandchildren; Addison and Lincoln. He will forever live-on in our hearts and memories. We love you Dad. Visitation calling hours will be 2 - 3pm, Saturday November 19th at Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home.
